The C-634BX1 is the perfect complement to the wall hydrant it protects. This unique product can be installed in the structure independently of the valve. This adds flexibility because the box can be installed by a brick mason or general contractor and the plumber can come later to install the valve through the front of the box and plumb it when it is convenient for their schedule. This product is a heavy duty cast brass that comes standard with the popular Satin Nickel or Rough Brass finishes.
This box has a heavy brass hinge and is designed to stay open when the consumer is using the valve. It won’t flop down on the hose or get in the way on the side of the box. A common complaint is that the door on the box gets torn off the hinges and it leaves an empty hole in the side of the building. This won’t happen with the heavy duty Prier C-634.

C-634 Spec Sheet (2007 - Present)
Prier C-634 provides a year round source of water to areas of structures that are subject to freezing temperatures. The hydrant valve is connected to the supply piping in the heated portion of the structure, eliminating the possibility of freezing. To assure freeze protection, the hydrant will drain even with the hose attached and under pressure. The integral vacuum breaker/backflow preventor provides protection against cross-connection with the potable water system, utilizing a check valve to prevent back pressure and a vacuum breaker to vent in the case of siphonage. A removable operating key is provided to prevent unauthorized usage of the hydrant. No special installation tools are required.

C-634 Series Installation, Operation & Maintenance Sheet
The C-634 Heavy Commercial Wall Hydrant leaves the factory fully air tested and operational. It is treated with an FDA approved lubrication. The hydrant requires no scheduled maintenance to provide long life. If the stem is removed, the bypass O-Ring needs to be replaced and lubricated with an FDA approved lubricant to avoid tearing.
