Prier

Prier Hydrants & Plumbing Products

Founded in 1881 as a brass foundry by German immigrant Anton Prier, the company produced a diverse range of items, such as coach lanterns, plaques, and household goods.

In the early 1900s, a series of floods in the industrial area compelled the company to move to higher elevations. Each relocation was marked by resilience and determination. During World War II, the focus shifted to producing specialized products for the U.S. Navy. In 1946, the company launched its inaugural freezeless faucet and continued its expansion.

Throughout the 1950s, operations adapted to support the U.S. military during the Korean War. Over time, the company carved out a niche in heavy brass plumbing components. In 2003, PRIER unveiled a hot and cold wall hydrant. As the company expanded, it acquired the brass division of Mansfield Plumbing Products, Inc. in 2007, which allowed for further growth in its residential plumbing hydrant offerings.

Currently, PRIER manufactures a variety of products including residential, commercial, and ground hydrants, angle sill faucets, plumbing brass, drainage solutions, and specialty valves. The company has established a reputation for high-quality brass plumbing products, complemented by exceptional service. PRIER has expanded its operations to four facilities located at its Kansas City production campus in Grandview, Missouri.
